Recently, we have emphasized the OUTREACH aspect of our college ministry, which is campus ministry. But just as important is our need to reach our college students who have grown up here (INREACH). Praise God, because last week, at our Life Group, two home grown students attended (we had been reaching out to them): Sohei Matsui (UMBC) and Sunbeen Ji (MICA). After a few weeks of absence after school started, Sunbeen started joining us on Sundays. Recently, Sohei returned to church, but because he doesn’t have a car, Sohei has needed a ride to come to church. Praise God because one of our young adults has picked him up so he could come! Thank you so much! If anyone is willing to help pick him up, we would appreciate having more than one person do this.
During the small group portion of the Life Group, Young Yu and I led the college student group in a discussion about having peace as college students. The students were challenged to not only to find peace, but to find it in the Lord. As the students left that day, Sohei turned around and said the four magical words… “See you next week.” :) Praise God! Let’s keep lifting up our existing college students and recent high school graduates by name:
